Give your wake time a routine

Waking much later on days off can shift your schedule. Make the morning routine easier to repeat instead of treating the weekend as a reset.

AN ACTION TO CONSIDER

Keep your wake time consistent through the weekend and get morning light.

In students, the least regular sleepers had a body clock about 2.5 hours later than the most regular.

Why consider it?

The small observational study compared university students' sleep patterns. The delay describes a circadian marker, not hours of sleep lost, and does not prove that a fixed alarm shifts the clock by that amount. Light exposure may help explain the association.
